I ask for your vote on November 6th

Friends,

In this election, voters want to know who they can trust with the economy.

As your Congressman, I have built a reputation as a moderate Democrat with an eye for fiscal responsibility. I helped President Clinton balance the budget for the first time in a generation. I’ve never voted for a bank bailout, and I’ve never voted to raise the debt ceiling.

My opponent, Randy Weber, doesn’t have a record of fiscal responsibility. Weber was caught profiting off of government per diems and has accepted illegal contributions to his campaign. But you don’t have to take my word for it; Mr. Weber’s financial woes have been well documented in the press on multiple occasions, twice within the past month. If Randy Weber can’t be trusted to manage his own money, how can he be trusted with the public’s money?

This is why all daily newspapers in the 14th district have unanimously endorsed my candidacy in this race.

This will be a close election, and with your help we can put a fiscally responsible Texan back in Congress.

I ask for your vote on November 6th.

Sincerely,

Nick Lampson

Great news- three big endorsements!

Friends,

More great news from the campaign trail:

Today, my candidacy was endorsed by the Beaumont Enterprise, the Galveston County Daily News and the Houston ChronicleThree big endorsements, and yet another example of our great momentum on the eve of Early Vote, just hours before the first ballots will be cast.

Now, help us seal the deal and make sure that we’re first across the finish line.

No matter the size of your contribution, it makes a BIG difference.

Many thanks,

Nick

The “Hot List”

Friends,

More good news! The Texas Tribune has upgraded our race on it’s “Hot List.” The race for the 14th congressional district is now at the top of the races ranked as the most competitive in Texas.

This is no accident. This is because people like you agree that we have got to change the way things are done in Washington. We have to stop the arguing and start the fixing.

We only have three weeks left to close this deal. Help us keep our strong organization going with a contribution of $14 or more.

I appreciate your support,

Nick
